So this is a over head view of the golf swing done correctly. This image is a conposit of 4 seperate images put together in Photoshop. the images are put together using layers with careful close cuts. Only select parts of each layer were used, other wise the final layer or impact image would hide the different positions of the hands ,body and shoulders. After years and years of photographing the golf swing I knew what part are key to showing the motion and position of each step with out needing the guidance from the pro. Here is the Lighting Set Up. Two Speedo 1200/ws packs and four heads were used. Two heads( 7 inch scoop bare) from each side at just above the head height of the subject. The correct camera exposure was taken from these lights, after making sure the light was of equal power from both sides. Then the shadow showing on the front portion of the subjects body was "filled" with another head (7 inch scoop bare) set about -1 stop from the "correct" exposure to bring detail back. The fourth head, again 7 inch scoop but this one had a 40 degree grid (to shape the light) was positioned camera left on the same line as the "main" head but 3 feet behind it (closer to the background). This head was aimed between the background and subject, effectively hitting both. In doing this one light filled in a bit of the back of the subject and also filled in the fall off area in the top left hand corner of the frame, setting was about -1 stop to the "correct" exposure.
